Adapt and Close the Gap

We are working with Glasgow City Council to provide fully funded advice, support and training to employers based and/or operating in Glasgow.

We work with you to ensure that your hiring process is inclusive and accessible for applicants and that once in the role, they are adequately supported, so both you and your new employees are set up for success. To help make Glasgow’s workplaces disability inclusive, we are also offering open training sessions for your employees.

We are running a number of fully funded online training sessions throughout 2025.

Training Sessions

Neurodiversity in the workplace – Line Manager Training – Thursday 5th June  10.30am-12.30pm

The aim of this session is to equip Line Managers and HR Managers with valuable insights, knowledge, and practical tips on effectively managing and supporting neurodivergent team members, fostering an environment where individuals can thrive in their careers. Join this 2-hour online session on Thursday 13 March at 10am.

Men’s Mental Health Training – Thursday 19th June 10.30am-12.30pm

Gary from ‘MacDonald Training’ explains the facts about men’s mental health and resources and tips for looking after your mental health. Why do we need to talk about mental health? Mental health and stigma. Signs and signals to be more aware of poor mental health. Your mental health toolbox and peer support.

Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace – Wednesday 25th June 2pm-4pm 

This course aims to provide managers with the skills to support and manage positive mental health in the workplace. We will look at the definitions of mental health, common conditions and factors impacting on mental health. As well as practical strategies, reasonable adjustments and how to have supportive conversations. Lesley will be available until 4.30pm for to answer any questions relating to your workplace.

The Details

Before registering, please read the course content to ensure it meets your training needs. Our training sessions run as interactive sessions; discussion and participation is involved (you can participate at a rate you are comfortable with). Therefore we  have limited spaces available.

If, for any reason, you can no longer attend the training session, please inform us at info@susescotland.scot as soon as possible so we can fill the space from our waiting list.

You can also substitute your place with a colleague. In this case please send their details, including their name and email address, to info@susescotland.scot.

A maximum of 3 people per organisation can attend the same session. Training sessions are not recorded.

We aim to ensure our courses are as accessible as is reasonably possible. Please let us know of any specific needs you have or if there is anything we can do to make things more accessible for you, such as additional communication support,  dial-in access, or if you prefer to interact via the chat function.
