Job Seekers

We promote equality and diversity by networking and piloting new services to move disabled people into work.

There are over 100,000 people in Scotland who have a disability or long-term condition who want to work. Our members are working with thousands of jobseekers and employers across Scotland to improve this situation.

Latest figures show the employment rate of disabled people is only 50% compared to 81% for their non-disabled peers – this is the Disability Employment Gap – and we are on a mission to change this.

Our aim is to increase the availability, quality and impact of supported employment services in Scotland.

Supported Employment is a 5 stage programme that has been designed to support you to get paid work. Click on the links above to find out more about how Supported Employment can help you and how to ensure you get the best service.

SUSE also have an Experience Network, which is a group of people with lived experience of a disability or long-term health condition, who consult on the development of projects, deliver training and work with employers to complete accessibility audits. Find out more about the Experience Network.
