One Message, Many Audiences: Creating Inclusive Workplace Communications
Thiago Carmo, Passion4Social and Disability Equality Scotland
Every organisation, no matter their background, sends messages on a daily basis: office moves, policy changes, events, service updates, training, and opportunities for advancement. However, sending out the same message across all of your channels and platforms will not work equally well for everyone.
In this practical webinar, we will take tools of an everyday workplace and demonstrate how they change depending on the audience, communication channel and people’s access needs. We will show how accessible communication is about making good communication choices from the very beginning, not creating separate versions for disabled colleagues only. Participants will leave with practical techniques they can apply immediately when creating emails, social media, written/verbal presentations, websites and printed materials.
Thursday 19th November 1-2pm

We will then introduce our disability awareness training offer, highlighting how this can help employers and their teams better understand disability, inclusion and reasonable adjustments.
