SUSE Board Announcement: CEO David Cameron to Step Down
SUSE today announces that David Cameron, Chief Executive Officer, has informed the Chair of the Board of his intention to step down from his role around July 2026.
David has expressed that while he has greatly valued his time at SUSE, he feels the time is right to pursue new and different challenges at this stage in his career. Over his nine years with the organisation, David has shown a deep commitment to SUSE’s mission and an unwavering passion for its work and staff team.
Reflecting on his decision, David said:
“It has been a privilege to lead SUSE and to work alongside such a dedicated and talented team. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together. SUSE plays a vital role in Scotland’s employability landscape, and I am fully committed to supporting a smooth transition as the organisation moves into its next phase. I have every confidence in SUSE’s continued success and impact.”
David has shared his reflections on what may be required to take SUSE into its next stage of development, offering valuable insights as the Board plans ahead.
Norma Curran, Chair of the Board, expressed her appreciation, stating:
“On behalf of the Board, I thank David sincerely for his professionalism and service during his nine years at SUSE. His leadership has strengthened the organisation in meaningful and lasting ways, and we are deeply grateful for his contribution.”
The Board will begin planning for the recruitment of a new Chief Executive in due course and we will provide further updates as the process develops.
