The SUSE team has secured funding for the development of the EASE App, a game-changing tool for disabled workers in Scotland. This phone application will empower individuals to assess their wellbeing, request support, and prevent employment challenges. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of self-management activities and look forward to making a real impact with this project.

The EASE App is for disabled workers to check their wellbeing based on a range of challenges people may face in employment, and get help quickly if needed. Its purpose is to facilitate Early Action to Sustain Employment (EASE).

The app will connect disabled employees to support and resources, with the aim of empowering them to stay well and succeed in their jobs. Information from the app will also help us learn how to provide better employment support for disabled people in work, a group that is often overlooked.

This project has been made possible via the Scottish Government funding administered by The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE), The Self Management Fund for Scotland aims to empower people living with long term conditions, disabled people and unpaid carers to take control their health, care and wellbeing.

The project, which will be delivered over the next three years, has already begun by engaging with our EASE App Delivery Team. The team are a group of SUSE members and partners, including Your Options Understood (Y.O.U), Alliance for Inclusion, Values Into Action Scotland (VIAS) and the Experience Network, working together to bring their expertise and lived experience to ensure the app is accessible and the resources are targeted and useful.
