We are excited to share with you some fantastic free training opportunities that are being delivered by our partners at the Apt Public Social Partnership for the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations:
- Arthritis Awareness – Tuesday 5th October 2021 (11am-12pm via Zoom or Teams) – Delivered by Versus Arthritis.
- Sight Loss Awareness in the Workplace – Tuesday 5th October 2021 (2pm-4.30pm via Zoom) – Delivered by Sight Scotland.
- Disability at Work – Friday 22nd October (12pm-2pm via Zoom) – Delivered by Leonard Cheshire.
- Equality Works: General Disability Awareness and Reasonable Adjustments – Tuesday 2nd November 2021 and Tuesday 9th November 2021 (9.30am-11.30am via Zoom or Teams) – Delivered by Into Work.
- The Right Approach: Develop Your Knowledge and Understanding of what the Right Approach means in terms of Serving Disabled Customers – Tuesday 9th November 2021 (9.30pm-12.30pm via Zoom or Teams) – Delivered by Your Options Understood.
- Autism Works: How to Be an Autism Confident Employer – Tuesday 16th November 2021 and Tuesday 23rd November 2021 (10.30am-12.30pm via Zoom) – Delivered by Into Work.
- Disability Equality Training – Friday 19th November 2021 (11am-12.30pm via Zoom) – Delivered by The Action Group.
These opportunities are only available to employers currently registered with the Community Jobs Scotland scheme and/or the Kickstart SCVO Gateway. All sessions are free of charge to employers, as the SCVO will pay for the cost of the training for Kickstart Employees directly to the provider (this will be allocated and deducted from the Kickstart Wraparound Support Fund). For CJS Employees, the SCVO will pay the training provider and will raise a training request on your behalf against the employee’s job record for audit purposes (this cost will be deducted from the employee’s Individual Training Fund).
