On Tuesday 28th October, SUSE proudly hosted its Annual General Meeting and 30th Anniversary celebration at the Glasgow Science Centre. The event brought together members, partners and stakeholders to reflect on our journey and share exciting plans for the future.

We were delighted to welcome Bipolar Scotland and Visibility Scotland as our newest members. Their presentations were a highlight of the day, offering valuable insights into how community-led approaches can strengthen Supported Employment services.

The event also introduced SUSE’s new strategic direction, aimed at improving support for Supported Employment, reducing the Disability Employment Gap, and promoting inclusive practices across Scotland. Thank you to our current and former Trustees for their support and participation.

We also want to thank Museums Galleries Scotland for their inspiring presentation, showing what’s possible when employers focus on inclusion and accessibility and why their partnership with SUSE matters.

As part of our 30th anniversary we launched Apt 30 – an initiative designed to recognise the organisations who have continually demonstrated their commitment to being inclusive employers. We were delighted to be joined by two of these organisations on the day, ACS Clothing and NHS24. Find out more about Apt 30 and discover the other outstanding employers who are working with us to raise standards in inclusive employment: Apt 30.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed, and celebrated this milestone. Your support is vital as we continue working toward our vision: that all disabled people in Scotland have access to quality jobs with good support to achieve success.
