As SUSE, we champion Supported Employment because we believe it is the most effective way to ensure disabled people can access and sustain quality jobs. We are driven by a clear and ambition vision: that every disabled person in Scotland has the opportunity to access a quality job, with the right support to succeed.

Together with our members, we develop skills and capacity across the sector, support high quality services and help employers create accessible, inclusive workplaces. We aim to strengthen pathways for disabled people and make real progress in reducing the Disability Employment Gap.

To ensure that Supported Employment is always part of the conversation, we participate in:

Parliamentary Committees
Stakeholder Groups and Working Groups e.g. Scottish Government’s Fair Work Stakeholder Network, Glasgow and Renfrewshire LEP Disability Groups, Access to Work Stakeholder Group, Working with Dementia Stakeholder Group, SDS Disability Focal Point Group.

#SupportedEmploymentWorks Campaign

We know that Supported Employment works, but there’s not enough knowledge about how it differs from other employability services. Through this campaign we can raise awareness and promote Supported Employment as the specialist employability service of choice for policy makers, individuals and businesses. DuoDay

Our annual job shadowing event in Scotland connects Supported Employment services, employers and disabled jobseekers for one meaningful day in the workplace. It’s designed to break down barriers, showcase talent and promote Supported Employment across Scotland and Europe. Get involved, find out more.

Inclusive Workplaces Week Scotland

A week of free webinars to help employers learn about the service available to support them to recruit and retain disabled talent. Get involved by hosting a service or promote the week to your employers. Find out more.

Free to use Marketing Materials
