LECTURER – COMPUTING (MATERNITY COVER)

£43,402.00 – £52,247.00 per annum

Fixed Term, Full Time

35 hours per week

(Up to 12 months contract from 30 November 2026 to 27 November 2027)

Scottish Borders Campus, Galashiels

Our Computing curriculum at Borders College covers a broad range of specialist areas – including software development, networking, cyber security, and games design and development – so a strong interest in these subjects is essential.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and learner‑focused individual to support the delivery of Computing units within our department, with a focus on Cyber Security. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high‑quality learning, teaching, and assessment that enables learners to develop the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to progress into the local tech workforce or continue their studies at a higher level. We are seeking someone with Industry‑relevant knowledge and practical skills that can help learners understand current practices and expectations within the tech sector.

You should be currently qualified to at least SCQF Level 8 in a Computing-related subject.
