We help and support anyone of any age living with vision impairment across Scotland. Our goal is to help people with vision impairments live independent and fulfilling lives.

We believe that ‘You don’t need sight to have vision’. Supporting the vision-impaired community in Scotland since 1859, we are now in a period of unprecedented innovation and expansion.

We support over 3,000 people with vision impairment across Scotland each year.

- providing support in the community in both Glasgow and Dumfries and Galloway

- specialist support for vision impairment caused by stroke or brain injury

- vision rehabilitation support, teaching visual strategies and essential skills to increase independence

- emotional support and advice for people struggling with vision impairment by phone via our Listening Ear service

- support for children and young people with vision impairment, including support for parents and carers

- our digital suite allows assistive technology to be demonstrated and explained, providing professional, unbiased advice
