Aon, one of the UK’s leading Financial Services company, runs it’s Work Insight Programme for 16-18 year olds in Glasgow on a regular basis. During this three-day work experience programme, participants have the opportunity to participate in a number of practical and helpful activities to help them get ready to enter the world of work.

Not only this, but participants can access additional support if they choose to apply to an apprenticeship with Aon after the end of the programme. This includes career coaching calls before the apprenticeship assessment days.

This year, the programme is taking place from Wednesday 19th June – Friday 21st June. There are still have some spaces available.

The goal of this programme is to inspire and arm young people with the practical experience that will help them make better decisions for their future careers, as well as inviting students into the often-closed world of Financial and Professional Services.

82% of students in our most recent programme said they were more likely to consider a career in financial/professional services. 88% of students said they would recommend the opportunity to other students.

A previous participant says of the programme, “I’ve really enjoyed my time on the Aon Work Insights Programme. I have learned about the opportunities open to me, gained an understanding of the benefits of networking, of being part of a good work culture, and having a plan for the future. I’ve most enjoyed the group work and the networking with Aon colleagues who have provided insight into the professional services sector and the roles available. I feel incredibly lucky to be one of the first students to attend”.

The 3-day programme will be hosted in Aon’s offices in Glasgow.  Students will enjoy direct mentorship with Aon employees, enter group competitions, and engage in company-wide networking. Lunch will be provided, and students will have access to Aon’s interactive sessions and expenses-covered travel.
