Deaf Sign Language users
Deafblind
Deafened and
Hard of Hearing people.

There are over one million people in Scotland with some sort of hearing loss. Working to the social model of disability, we educate on the barriers/ experiences of deaf people across a spectrum of deafness which includes four key pillars: Deaf/British Sign Language users; Deafened; Deafblind and Hard of Hearing.

Beyond education, we provide good quality, accurate information and deal with enquiries: signpost to other organisations; share skills and expertise, provide networking opportunities; share good practice; influence public policy and deliver capacity building. We do this mainly via bulletins and newsletters; conferences,
events and training.

We also provide specialist consultancy and evaluation services.
