SUSE hosted an event recently with Social Security Scotland, an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government. Social Security Scotland is a new public service which has a responsibility for delivering 11 benefits, 10 of which were previously delivered by the UK Government. The Interim Corporate Plan has now been published and can be found on the Social Security Website – www.socialsecurity.gov.uk
Social Security Scotland will be employing 1,900 people when fully operational. They wish to attract a diverse mix of people to work within the Agency so that their workforce represents the Scotland it will serve. This workshop was an opportunity for our members to share their vast experience and knowledge on ways to make their recruitment processes more inclusive.
