On the 20th September 2021, the BBC aired an episode of Disclosure, a current affairs series examining the issues affecting the lives of people around Scotland, focusing on young people with additional support needs and disabilities who are leaving Scottish schools. In this programme, Ian Hamilton meets just some of the thousands of young disabled people and their families who say they have been left on a cliff edge by the barriers they face after leaving school. Their experiences indicate that social care, health and employment services are ill-prepared as they move into adulthood and are calling for better support to be put in place.
