Our Vision
SUSE’s vision is that all disabled people have access to quality assured Supported Employment to enable them to find and retain paid work.
Our Mission
To be the lead-body in Scotland for the Supported Employment Model, its providers and practitioners, through which disabled people are supported to find, retain and progress in work. As such, SUSE works to:
- engage with disabled people or people with a long-term health condition to develop alternative pathways to employment.
- support employers to make work accessible for people with a disability or long-term health condition in order to address labour and skills gaps advise on and support the implementation of disability employment policy and strategy.
- promote the value and innovation of the Supported Employment Model, providers and practitioners in achieving employability outcomes.
- provide training, consultancy and research & development (R&D) services and resources to help build the capacity of providers and practitioners and to grow the sector.
- assess and assure the quality of Supported Employment services against the Supported Employment Framework.
